In this FAQ section, we’ve listed the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your camping trip, and provided the most comprehensive answers possible.

RESERVATION
When is the campsite open?
The campsite is open from April1 to September 30. The gîtes are open all year round. You’ll find updated dates every year on the campsite website.
What are the reception opening hours?
The reception office is open from 8am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm in July and August.
In low season, the office is open from 9am to 12pm and from 3pm to 6pm.

How many pitches does the campsite have?
The campsite has 55 pitches, broken down as follows: 10 mobile homes, 3 Lodge tents on stilts, 2 Bengali tents, 1 Bivouac tent, 39 bare pitches, including 6 Prémium pitches with individual sanitary facilities or kitchen chalet. We also have 5 gîtes for 5 to 6-8 people.
Where is the campsite?
It’s in the heart of the département, 17 km from Périgueux, 32 km from Brantôme and 35 km from Montignac-Lascaux. Its central location in the département means you can easily visit all the tourist sites in the Dordogne, from the green Périgord to the red Périgord, not forgetting the black Périgord.
RENTALS AND PITCHES
What time do arrivals start?
Arrivals for rentals and pitches are from 3pm to 7pm.
On arrival, please park in the parking lot so as not to block traffic at the campsite entrance.
If you arrive earlier, please wait in the campsite parking lot for reception to open.
If you expect to arrive after 7pm, please call us on 05.53.06.04.19.
Can we arrive any day of the week?
In low season, arrivals are possible every day. In July and August, rentals are only available on Saturdays. On pitches, however, arrivals are possible every day.
What are the formalities on arrival?
We will proceed with your check-in and payment of your stay or the outstanding balance.
The balance will include the tourist tax and eco-participation.
We’ll give you a map of the campsite, a schedule of activities in high season, and an inventory of your accommodation. We’ll then accompany you to your pitch or accommodation.
What should I bring to my rental?
All rental units are equipped with crockery, and comforters and pillows are provided.
In the description of each rental property on our website, you’ll find a button to click on “Inventory”. You can print out the document in PDF format and thus have a complete inventory of the property.
However, we do not provide bed linen and towels. You must bring a fitted sheet, a comforter cover and a pillowcase for each bed, towels, shower mats, tea towels, as well as cleaning products, washing-up liquid, sponges, rubbish bags, etc.
What are the bed sizes in the rentals?
Most rental units are equipped with 140×190 cm double beds. Lodges and 1 O’Hara mobile home are equipped with a 160X190cm double bed. Single beds are 80X190cm, and in gîtes 90X190cm.
What type of coffee machines are available for our rentals?
All rental units are equipped with filter coffee makers. The large 6-8 person gîte is also equipped with a Dolce Gusto coffee machine.
Can I bring my dog or cat?
Yes, it’s important to us to welcome your pets. We are happy to welcome them for an additional fee per day, provided that the dogs do not belong to any category I or II attack dog. We accept 2 pets per pitch or accommodation. They must be vaccinated and tattooed.
In compliance with our rules and regulations, you must keep your pet on a leash on the campsite and take it outside to relieve itself, picking up after it (see Services, Animals and Rules and Regulations for conditions and regulations). Please bring your passport and vaccination certificate.
Can I walk my dog around the campsite?
Yes, there are paths all around the campsite, which is located in the middle of nature.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we ask you to pay a deposit which guarantees that the rental property will be respected and that the accommodation will be clean when you leave.
The deposit required on arrival is €490 and breaks down as follows: €400 for any damage to the rental property (breakage and damage) and €90 for end-of-stay cleaning.
Payment should preferably be made by credit card imprint or cheque on arrival.
Once we have carried out the inventory of fixtures on departure, it will be returned to you immediately, or within 48 hours if you have left, with any deductions for missing items, damage and/or cleaning costs.
If you rent equipment (fridge, childcare equipment, etc.), we will also ask you for a deposit.
Can unaccompanied minors rent a pitch or accommodation?
For safety reasons, minors unaccompanied by their parents are not allowed on the Auberoche campsite.
Do we have a choice of location?
When you make your reservation, you can specify your requirements (pitch number, proximity to a particular place or to people you know, shade or sun…). We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, depending on how full the campsite is and the dates of your stay.
Does the accommodation have a television? A dishwasher?
Only the gîtes are equipped with TV. For dishwashers, the 6-seater Merveilla mobile home has a small dishwasher, as does the large 6-8-seater gîte.
Are the rentals air-conditioned?
Some of our mobile homes are equipped with air conditioning.
What do I need for the electrical connections on the pitches?
You’ll need a European plug to plug in, not forgetting an extension cord.
Can I park on my plot?
Each pitch (bare or with accommodation) can accommodate 1 parked vehicle .
A second car must remain in the campsite parking lot at the entrance.
Can we pitch a tent on our rental plot?
The installation of a small tent is possible only if you do not exceed the occupancy capacity authorized by type of rental with a request prior to booking.
Are barbecues allowed?
Barbecues on pitches are not permitted. Collective barbecues are available near the snack bar and gîtes, in complete safety. All you need to bring is a bag of charcoal.
Do you offer refrigerators for hire?
Yes, we have several fridge-tops available for hire. The fridge-top must be protected under an arbour, in an awning or under the tent, and returned clean on departure.
Price: €3.5/day for a minimum of 5 days
A deposit of 90€ is required. Remember to bring a waterproof extension lead.
SWIMMING POOL
At what time can we access the pool? Is it open all year round?
The pool is open from 9am to 8pm.
Open from May to September, weather permitting.
Which swimsuits are allowed in the pool?
For reasons of hygiene, we do not accept long swimming shorts or full-length cover-ups. Only UV-resistant T-shirts are allowed.
Young children must wear bathing suits.
Is the pool heated and supervised? Access for visitors?
The swimming pool is heated and open according to weather conditions.
As it is reserved for our guests only and does not welcome outside visitors, we are not obliged to provide supervision. Children are the sole responsibility of their parents or adult guardians, and must be accompanied even if they know how to swim.
The swimming pool is off-limits to visitors; it is reserved exclusively for guests staying at the campsite.
SERVICES AND ENTERTAINMENT
Does the campsite have WIFI?
In 2024, the campsite was fully equipped with WIFI by our service provider. You can buy a WIFI connection ticket at reception.
The price list is displayed at reception; rates are degressive according to the number of days and the number of devices. For example, a one-day connection for one device = €2
Do you have a laundry?
In the sanitary block, you’ll find a 10kg professional washing machine and a dryer with the same capacity. Laundry detergent is included in the price. Both are coin-operated.
Do you offer a bread depot? A grocery store?
In July and August, bread is available every day at the bar. All you have to do is order the day before before 6:30 pm: baguette, viennoiserie. Orders can be collected from the bar from 8am the following day.
We don’t have a grocery store, but we do sell a few local products at reception, as well as souvenirs bearing the campsite’s logo. The bar serves cold drinks and ice creams. There is a convenience store in the village 1.5 km away.
Do you offer entertainment throughout the season?
We offer daytime and evening entertainment during the week in July and August. Animations supervised by ourselves or outside professionals (pétanque tournament, sports tournament, relaxation session, archery). In the evening, karaoke, country music, concerts, barbecues and night-time swimming.
We don’t offer events in low season, except in special cases (bank holiday weekends depending on attendance).
Are all activities free? Do you have a kids' club?
No, we don’t have a kids’ club; we just offer activities during the week in which they can take part.
Most activities are free of charge; activities organized by external providers, such as archery, sophrology and massage, are not free of charge and must be paid for directly to the providers.
Are the bar and snack bar open outside the high season?
The bar is open evenings and weekends in low season. The snack bar is open only in the evening from Friday to Sunday.
What are the opening hours for the bar and snack bar?
In July and August, the bar is open from 8am to 1pm and from 3pm to 11pm. The snack bar is open from 7pm to 9:30pm, except on Mondays when it is replaced by a food-truck.
Do you offer bike hire?
No, the campsite does not offer bicycle hire.
Do you have a charging station for electric cars?
No, we’re not equipped. Charging stations are available in neighboring towns.
For safety reasons, it is not possible to plug directly into a pitch’s electrical terminal or a socket in the accommodation. This could lead to a power cut and a fire hazard. Similarly, your reservation does not include vehicle recharging.
How does waste management work?
We sort waste, and we’ve made it easy for you to do so.
On arrival, we give you a yellow tote bag for recyclable waste and a green bio-bucket for compostable waste. All rentals are equipped with them.
What are your environmental initiatives?
Respect for the environment is paramount to us, and we strive to minimize the impact of our activity on the ecosystem. Water management: pressure reducer, automatic taps, pool cover, regular monitoring to detect leaks. Energy management: low-energy LED lighting, pool cover, green electricity supplier. Waste management: sorting garbage cans, composters. Space maintenance: environmentally-friendly cleaning products, chemical-free maintenance of green spaces.
Access and circulation in the campsite ?
At the entrance, we have a license plate-reading barrier. It is active between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Outside these hours, no traffic is allowed on the campsite, except in emergencies.
In the event of a late return, you can park your vehicle in the campsite parking lot.
The 10km/h speed limit must be observed throughout the campsite.
What can you find at reception?
Reception is open from 9am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.

You can buy your WIFI connection tickets at reception. A suggestion box is available for you to leave your suggestions.
AROUND THE CAMPSITE
Where are the shops to do your shopping?
You’ll find a convenience store in the commune of Le Change, about 1.5 km away. There is a COOP supermarket in Sarliac sur l’Isle, around 5 km away.
A bakery, pharmacy and tobacconist in Cubjac, 5 km away.
In Bassillac, bakery, tobacconist, chemist, hairdresser 10km away.
There are also supermarkets on the outskirts of Périgueux, 13km away.
Can we come by train?
The nearest train station is Périgueux, 19 km from the campsite.
Are there any markets nearby?
Every day, you can find a market of varying size. A list of local markets is available at reception. You can also find gourmet markets on certain evenings in high season.
